Hagonoy Pumping Station, Taguig, Laguna Lake
January 20, 2013
6:00 am
Counters: Jerome Manalad and Tristan Manalad
ENVIRONMENT CONDITION: sunny
TRIP NOTES: The count was done in 3 sites conducted for 3 hours. The first site is at the corner road to C6 from lower Bicutan (14.29N, 121.03E). The area is filled with water plants. We stayed from 6am to 645am.
The next site was the Hagonoy pumping station (14.30N, 121.04E). We stayed here from 655am to 8am. Last stop was Taguig Pumping Station and a newly discovered birding site right in front of the pumping station (14.31N, 121.04E). In front of the pumping station there's a small road that goes inside. That's where we saw a lot of Black-Winged Stilts. To go there if coming from Rizal, it's after the pumping station about 200 meters away on your left. There's a sign that says ACK Construction. Enter that road and you will see the stilts about 300 to 400 meters away on your left. The area on the left is a mudflat and on the right is a dry land.
