Black-crowned Night Heron

Scientific name:
Nycticorax nycticorax
Habitat :
Wetlands from ricefields to magroves.
Birdwatch note :
Roosting in trees during the daytime and flies out to feed at twilight. Call is a loud wok in flight.
WBCP note:
Breeding populations observed in Asiaworld, Paranaque and Valenzuela in the last few years. Small colony of free-range birds also exist in the Manila Zoo.
