As with the first volume, this second volume is a celebration of the country’s diverse and unique bird assemblages. Its special focus is avian endemism in the Philippines and features some 90% of the endemics whose photos have never been published before. The 14 birding sites covered in this book are:

Birdwatching in the Philippines, Volume 2 is a collaborative effort of the Philippine Department of Tourism, Recreational Outdoor Exchange (ROX) and the Wild Bird Club of the Philippines (WBCP).

The book was launched at the British Bird Fair in Rutland, England in August 2009 and at the Taipei International Birdwatching Fair in November 2009.
