Some of the interesting things that the WBCP members did this month
Gina Mapua set free 12 Philippine Bulbuls that were in a cage and being sold at a roadside stall. She reported the wildlife vendors to the police who quickly took action.
Club Members at a club trip to Mt. Palay-palay were delighted to witness the release of 4 White-eared Brown Doves, 2 Yellow-breasted Fruit Doves, 2 Colasisis, and 1 Black-chinned Fruit Dove!

Club members visited Tagaytay Highlands. The Highlands management wants to make their club into a bird sanctuary and provide more habitats for the birds. The group saw 5 Luzon Tarictic Hornbills flying at eye level on the ridge behind the club chapel. Mike Lu led the group which included Gina Mapua, Ixi Mapua, Tonji Ramos, and Sylvia Ramos.
Alex Tiongco was elected by the Execom as the 5th Officer.
Nicky Icarangal took visiting birder Cathy Pastercyzyk birdwatching in Mount Makiling and Los Baños.
Club members assisted in drafting the LLPCHEA Management Plan. The Manila Bay Critical Management Council and Technical Working Group invited the WBCP, PAWB, DENR, PRA, and representatives from Las Piñas and Parañaque to this workshop. Ipat Luna led the WBCP group wihich also included Gina Mapua, Anna Gonzales, Joni Acay, Sylvia Ramos, Mike Lu and Tonji Ramos.
