Masked Booby Sula dactylatra
Bird Islet, Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park
May 2017
“The Masked Booby used to occur in greater numbers in the Philippines, until they were extirpated several years ago. Hopefully, this lone male is the first of more of its kind to come back. For the meantime though, he seems to have settled down with a Brown Booby wife and an adopted chick. Thanks to the Tubbataha Management Office for organizing the trip and making these shots possible.” – Willem
